Warranty and Insurance Service Advisor


The main responsibility of the Warranty and Insurance Service Advisor is to ensure all warranty claims are filed accurately and in a timely manner.  Additionally, the Warranty and Insurance Service Advisor create service quotes and ensure all stakeholders are kept informed throughout the service process.  They will also assist the other service advisors by communicating to customers throughout the service process from drop- off to pick up.  This includes customer and equipment information as well as contacting customers to notify of equipment repair or servicing status. In addition, the Service Advisor will answer phone calls and questions regarding customer’s equipment, coordinate with mechanics on equipment and work performed, and assist in organizing customer equipment on intake and pick up, as necessary.

Job Requirements

  • Must have exceptional customer service skills
  • Must have computer skills with a focus on Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Must be able to stand/sit for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written
  • Punctual, reliable, and regular attendance
  • Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Basic machinery/mechanical knowledge strongly preferred
  • Attain certain technical certifications/training as needed
  • Must have valid Driver’s License

Preferred experience in working the service department in automotive or lawn and garden equipment, tractors, farm equipment.

Prior experience in handling warranty claims management a plus.
